Space is the vast, dark area beyond Earth’s atmosphere. It is a place filled with stars, planets, moons, comets, asteroids, and galaxies. Space has no air, no weather, and very little gravity compared to Earth. It may seem empty, but space is full of mysteries and fascinating objects.

Our planet is part of the solar system, which includes the Sun at its center, eight planets, and many smaller bodies. The Sun is just one of billions of stars in the Milky Way galaxy, and the Milky Way is only one of billions of galaxies in the universe.

Scientists explore space using telescopes, satellites, and spacecraft. People have even traveled to the Moon, and someday astronauts may go to Mars and beyond. Studying space helps us learn more about our place in the universe and how everything began. There is still so much to discover!
