The /ow/ sound is another diphthong. A diphthong is made up of two sounds unlike vowel teams that combine to form one sound.
The letters ow make the /ow/ sound at the end of syllables or in words that rhyme with town or owl. Remember, the letters ow can also make the long /o/ sound.
